A white Christmas

Ok, so I'm starting early.  I couldn't pass up not taking pics of the snow.  It was so beautiful.  I decided to post this pic of the snow on the pine.  I liked the way it turned out.  It was taken from inside my house through the sliding glass doors in the kitchen.  I am also posting a pic of one of the cardinals that have been pecking on my kitchen window every morning for over six months.  I have no idea why they continue to fly to my window.  I have looked everywhere to see what might be attracting them.  I first thought that it was just one bird but when I was taking pics of it in the snow, I saw that actually it is two, a male and female.  My nephew looked up the meaning of a cardinal trying to get in and he said that it says that a change is going to happen in 12 hours, days, months or years.  Lord, let's hope that a wonderful change is going to happen next year :)

Missed Opportunites

Two days in a row I have missed great photo opportunities.  A beautiful sunset as I was leaving work.  By the time I was able to find a spot to take a picture, it was too late.  Then tonight the moon was huge and saw several spots that I could've taken a pic but I only had my point and shoot and was unable to capture a good picture.  I am going to have to keep my "real" camera with me but it gets to be a burden carrying it everywhere. 

Lunar eclipse

Well, I was up early this morning in hopes of catching some cool pics of the lunar eclipse.  Unfortunately, it was so cloudy that I couldn't even see the moon.  The next one won't be until 2014!  And why is you can see a great shot when your driving and can't pull over to take it or you left your camera at home?  I saw this beautiful sunset yesterday and I couldn't pull over to take a great shot because I had a car right behind me and there was really no place to pull over!

2011 Photo Challenge

I am joining my friend, Lenay and several others in doing a photo challenge for 2011.  The goal is to take a different picture everyday and post.  I love photography so I look forward to this challenge.
